Not only are there excellent vegetarian restaurants, but unique substitution options. Do you want to subsitute soy chicken for real chicken in your order of butter chicken or chicken souvlaki? No problem! By far the most interesting option was Padmanadi, an amazing eatery with a full Asian menu offering ONLY veg meats. It's one of those places that seems to good to be true, leaving us vegetarians wondering if there's going to be a tummy ache at the end of the night due to meat protein that somehow snuck its way in. There was no digestive problem. The best thing about this place is that my meat-eating friends were the ones to suggest it - they were pretty stoked to get in on the trend. Anyone else aware of great veg/soy-friendly restaurant gems in other parts of the country? |
